Sound clips of the preview performance of Reanimations
Here are some clips of the wonderful preview performance of Reanimations as performed by the West Chester University Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Andrew Yozviak with J. C. Dobrzelewski and Robert Skoniczin, trumpets. Both the ensemble and soloists played great, and I look forward to the premiere performance at the International Trumpet Guild conference in May!
One week, two premieres
On Mon., Dec. 9 the West Chester University Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Andrew Yozviak gave the preview performance of my Reanimations for two solo trumpets and wind ensemble with J.C. Dobrzelewski and Robert Skoniczin, trumpets. Reanimations will be officially premiered in May (also by the WCU Wind Ensemble) at the International Trumpet Guild's annual conference at West Chester University. Also, on Sat., Dec. 14, The Hartt School Wind Ensemble gave the premiere of my tuba concerto, Heavy Weather with Scott Mendoker navigating my impossible tuba part with seeming ease. In a poetic turn of events, the concert was nearly snowed out, but the show went on and what a show it was! Two premieres of major works within a single week by such fantastic ensembles and soloists is more than a young composer could ever ask for, and I extend my utmost gratitude to those who took part in making these performances come together!
